Christmas Time....

Photo- Frankie's Nails

Went out for a meal last night and my friend had pretty cool nails for Christmas
It was black Barry M Nail Varnish with gold glitter nail varnish over the top....it had an interesting texture and made me think about using different layers of nail polish to create different effects...

Oh its the night before christmas......
So Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Just about to Watch my favourite Christmas Film...
Love Actually...

Fancied a change!!

As the weather gets colder....i decided the hair would get darker..
I'd been blonde for a good year and just wanted a change...i was convinced by my housemates to go back to brown..and i'm glad i did!!
At first i hated it as it was such a dramatic change...but now i'm excited to show off my new colour over the christmas!

More Street Style...

Brick Lane..

I've never been to Brick Lane...however one of my friends took me there while we were in London..
Its such a different place to main stream shopping in London...

its full of Vintage shops...
Here are some street style photos i took....i liked the creative mix of outfits...

This lady ran one of the Vintage stalls at Up Sunday Market...she was really lovely and informed me on how popular Brick Lanes market was becoming..people seem to be going back to traditional way to shop...markets are making a clear rise...

This lady had such a unquie look....showing off this fur trend in a highly Russian way..

All my own images.
I definately be returning to Brick Lane but Sunday is the best day to go as the Up Sunday Market is on...a market full of arts and craft stalls...
I particularly liked the printed accessories sold on this stall.... they had a retro feel about them..

There were many other lovely stalls...if i go back soon i'll take some pictures...I brought my friend a cute necklace with an engraved pair of wooden scissors.

Street where the riches of ages are sold.....

There are parts of London that i have always wanted to visit... Portobello Market is one..
It was such a vibrant mix of antiques and vintage fashions...i really enjoyed the atmosphere...plus i was able to take the opportunity to do some street style photos...
everyone i snapped was so lovely...

I really liked this girls outfit...her stocking had small bows on the back

The theme of stocking continued...

This stall was like a treasure trove...

Bow ties for £2.00

I found this girl looking through the records....i particularly liked her bohemian style

Old jewellery galore

I had to take this picture...the dog was sitting at one of the stalls...shame he wasn't for sale!!
All my own photos...thanks to everyone stopped for street style...

SHREWD Vintage Shop

Well i've been around the Brick Lane and Portobello looking at the Vintage Fashion shops and stalls...which is always holds new treasures...however i was surprised to discover a lovely Vintage Shop right on my door step!!!

Shrewd...is a small Vintage Shop in Dorking...i normally had to Dorking for the diverse Charity Shops but came across this shop. Here is the lady who runs the shop i got talking to her about the clothes...she was interested to hear i was a fashion student...but she was more surprised by £20 Fake Fur coat i got that day from the Charity Shop across the road...
(which i will put up on the blog later)

1940's look
The lady from the shop did tell me to pop along to the next fashion event at the store...here are images from the last event...they had a talk on different styles...how to create them from head to toe...

1960's look

I hope to go to the next event....if not i'll be back to shop..

Day 1 - PPQ Show

Waiting outside the Somerset Venue...i was actually very nervous about the show...it seemed so real once you saw all the buzz of the media...the atmosphere was just what i imagined.

Here is an extract from my work experience diary

While setting out the PPQ gift bags we got a chance to see the models practicing on the catwalk.

PPQ after party tag

London Fashion Week offical passes.

PPQ

S/S 2011 Collection
After sitting the guests i had to dash of to the after party venue which was a shame as i didn't get to see the show...which was strange as i asked the guests if they enjoyed the show without any idea what the clothes were like...therefore when i got the chance i looked at the collection on style.com...here it is...

What do you think??

This show is all about expressing fashion in a fun and colourful way ...it has a theatrical circus feel to me..

I really love the psychedelic prints....i saw one of the bags up close at the office.

I actually met the Amy and Percy (the designers) at the show.
